AAAI Studio ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Mangii mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

1. Age Restriction

Mangii is intended for users aged 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If you are under 18, you may not use our Service. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a user under 18, we will promptly delete that information. 2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Email address, display name, and profile picture when you create an account via Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In
  • User Content: Text prompts you enter to generate images, manga stories you create, and any content you upload (such as profile avatars)
  • Communications: Messages you send to our support team
  • Transaction Information: Purchase history for subscriptions and credit packs (payment processing is handled by Apple App Store and Google Play Store)

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers
  • Usage Data: Features you use, actions you take, time and duration of activities
  • Log Data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, crash reports
  • Analytics Data: App usage patterns collected via Firebase Analytics

2.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Authentication Providers: Google and Apple provide your email and profile information when you sign in
  • Payment Providers: Apple App Store and Google Play Store provide transaction confirmations

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our Service
  • Process your transactions and manage your subscriptions
  • Generate AI-powered manga images based on your prompts
  • Store and display your created content
  • Send you technical notices, updates, and support messages
  • Respond to your comments, questions, and customer service requests
  • Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve our Service
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and fraudulent activity
  • Enforce our Terms of Service and protect user safety

4. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

We share your information with the following categories of third parties:

4.1 Service Providers

  • Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, cloud storage, analytics, crash reporting, and cloud functions
  • OpenAI: AI image generation processing (prompts are sent to generate images)
  • RevenueCat & Adapty: Subscription and in-app purchase management
  • Google AdMob: Advertising services (for free tier users)

4.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

4.3 Business Transfers

In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Advertising and Tracking

Our Service uses Google AdMob to display advertisements to free tier users. AdMob may collect and use data for personalized advertising. You can opt out of personalized ads through your device settings or when prompted by our App Tracking Transparency request on iOS.

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with our Service. This data is aggregated and used to improve the user experience.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as:

  • Your account remains active
  • Needed to provide you with our Services
  • Required by law or for legitimate business purposes

When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

AI-generated images and associated prompts may be retained for content moderation and service improvement purposes, but will be disassociated from your personal identity after account deletion.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL
  • Secure cloud infrastructure provided by Google Cloud Platform
  • Access controls and authentication requirements
  • Regular security assessments

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights and Choices

8.1 Account Information

You may update, correct, or delete your account information at any time through the app settings.

8.2 Account Deletion

You can delete your account through the Profile section in the app. This will permanently remove your personal information, created content, and associated data. Active subscriptions should be cancelled through the App Store or Google Play before deletion.

8.3 Marketing Communications

You can opt out of push notifications through your device settings.

8.4 Advertising Preferences

On iOS, you can control ad tracking through the App Tracking Transparency prompt or in Settings > Privacy > Tracking. On Android, you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in Settings > Google > Ads.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States where our servers and service providers are located. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using our Service, you consent to such transfers.

10. European Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Erasure: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Portability: Request transfer of your data to another service
  • Restriction: Request limitation of processing
  • Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests

Our legal basis for processing includes: performance of contract (providing the Service), legitimate interests (improving our Service, fraud prevention), and consent (marketing, analytics).

12. AI-Generated Content

Mangii uses artificial intelligence (OpenAI) to generate images based on your text prompts. Your prompts are sent to AI service providers for processing. We implement content moderation to prevent generation of prohibited content, but AI systems may occasionally produce unexpected results.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
