Cyberpunk is a high-contrast anime style built from darkness, wet reflections, neon signage, dense technology, and characters caught between glamour and decay. Its cities feel vertical and crowded: stacked apartments, cables, holograms, vending machines, surveillance drones, glowing kanji-like signs, street food steam, and alleys where pink and cyan light cut through rain. The style is futuristic, but its emotional core is noir: everyone looks lit by an advertisement they cannot escape.

Color is the main dramatic instrument. Backgrounds often begin with a dark blue, black, or charcoal base, then explode into hot magenta, cyan, acid green, or electric violet accents. Faces are rim-lit by signage, jackets catch reflections from wet asphalt, and metal or glass surfaces show sharp highlights. Character design blends street fashion with technology: coats, visors, cybernetic arms, headphones, masks, tattoos, augmented eyes, and worn hardware.

This style is ideal for hackers, bounty hunters, androids, underground musicians, corporate towers, night markets, street races, and future mystery stories. It can support loud action or quiet loneliness. A detective smoking under a flickering sign, a courier leaping between rooftops, or a singer performing to a room of holographic ghosts all benefit from the same visual equation: saturated light against a world that feels deep, wet, and morally uncertain.
