The Lees wanted to tear it all down.
Footsteps echoed below. Ha-ji’s heart raced. _Not the cops again…_
A shadow looked up. _Sh_t.*
“Ha-ji,” a low voice whispered. “What are you doing up here?”
Ha-ji’s eyes narrowed. _Jae-min._ The rich guy from school. What was he doing here?
“Just… painting,” she said, trying to sound casual.
Jae-min stepped into the light. “You’re Yoon Ha-ji, right? The street artist everyone’s talking about.”
Ha-ji’s grip tightened on the can. _How did he know?_
“Guess you’ve seen my work,” she said, trying to brush it off.
Jae-min smiled—a small, curious smile. “I’ve seen it. You’re talented. But this… isn’t safe.”
_Safe?_ Ha-ji raised an eyebrow. “You don’t get to lecture me about safety.”
Jae-min’s eyes flicked to the mural—a phoenix rising from flames. “You paint like you’re fighting something. What is it?”
Ha-ji’s heart skipped. _How did he see that?_
Before she could reply, her phone buzzed. _“Gukje Market notice: Lee Group’s demolition team arrives tomorrow.”_
Jae-min followed her gaze. “Looks like we have a problem ”
