At 18 years old despite being the best fighter in the clan he was looked down upon for having no superpower. when Jason's sister Lucy loses her eyes after being attacked by a Titan Jason's father uses his unique power called surgery to take Jason's eyes and use them to replace Lucy's. now blind Jason is left with nothing when he is attacked by a Titan in the woods while fighting Jason unlocks the power to control and amplify sound which allows him to use echolocation to see and amplify sound to attack. He then leaves his clan to join the academy hoping to get more powerful”
