He’s running off at the mouth with his eyes squinting. She looks unimpressed. Marcus: Thanks for helping me out. Maybe you could give me your real number and we could hang out this weekend. What do you think? ⸻ Panel Two Marcus opens his eyes to see that the girl has left. There are two young girls giggling at him in the background. He is blushing. ⸻ Panel Three Marcus turns his attention toward an alley behind him, where he sees a shadowy figure (Nitro) laid out in the dumpsters. ⸻ Panel Four He heads toward the alley to investigate. ⸻ Panel Five Marcus sees his old friend Nitro, who is badly hurt. Nitro is in civilian clothes. He helps him to his feet. Marcus: Nit… Jason, is that you? Man, you don’t look too good. The last time I saw you, you were heading to D.C. for that government job. What happened to you?”
