At the absolute pinnacle of this world stand the 7 Warlords, god-like figures whose Shinigamis grant them absolute dominion. Above them all is the First Warlord, a being whose Shinigami literally controls the physics and reality of the world itself. Enforcing the Warlords' will are the 9 Nightlights, elite assassins who strike from the shadows. And then, there is the 1 Nemesis—a rogue calamity destined to destroy the balance.
Then there is Azlix.
Handsome, sharp-featured, and sporting a dark eyepatch over his left eye, Azlix is an anomaly. He is the only human in history born without a Shinigami. Treated as an outcast, Azlix survived not through power, but through raw, staggering intelligence. He’s a tactical genius, analyzing his opponents' Shinigamis and outsmarting them before they even know they're in a fight.
Chapter 2: The Cupid and The Cursed
Tragedy strikes Azlix's city when a turf war erupts between two terrifying figures.
The first is the Warlord of Love. He struts through the streets like a twisted Cupid. Hovering right behind him is his Shinigami—a grotesque, towering monster wielding a massive bow, shooting arrows of corrupted love that bend people's minds to the Warlord’s will.
The second is The Cursed One, a terrifying rogue who might just be the 1 Nemesis. His power is brutal: if his bare hand touches your neck, heart, or face, you violently explode into dust. Even from a distance, he can manipulate gravity, crushing buildings and slamming people into the earth with a flick of his wrist.
Caught in the crossfire, Azlix uses his massive intellect to dodge the Warlord's arrows and the Cursed One's gravity slams, saving civilians left and right. But the Cursed One notices the boy dodging his attacks. Annoyed, the Cursed One uses a massive telekinetic slam, pinning Azlix to the ground.
Chapter 3: The Azure Awakening
The Cursed One steps forward, his hand reaching out for Azlix's face to trigger the explosive death touch.
Azlix, pinned and bleeding, feels something snap inside him. A primal, suppressed rage boils over. With a furious roar, Azlix flexes his muscles, violently ripping his shredded shirt completely off.
The temperature plummets. His remaining eye glows a piercing, neon blue.
He wasn't born without a Shinigami. His Shinigami was just waiting for him to be strong enough to wield her.
Suddenly, spectral, razor-sharp claws erupt from Azlix's hands. Brilliant, blazing azure Kitsune flames violently burst from his skin. The Cursed One is blasted back by the sheer shockwave of spiritual pressure.
Rising from the flames behind Azlix is his Shinigami—a stunning, ethereal, nine-tailed Kitsune spirit of pure blue fire. She isn't just a weapon; she is his soulmate, his true love bound by destiny.
Chapter 4: Executioner's Rain
The Warlord of Love and the Cursed One pause, suddenly realizing they are in the presence of an overwhelming entity. The Cursed One charges, attempting to crush Azlix with maximum gravity.
Azlix just smirks, his brilliant mind already calculating the victory. He raises his hand, and his Kitsune Shinigami mirrors his movement.

The earth shatters. The Warlord of Love's monster Shinigami is pinned and obliterated instantly, and the Cursed One is heavily wounded, barely surviving by creating a telekinetic shield.

Desperate, the Cursed One prepares to unleash a city-destroying blast. Azlix needs to end this.
"Time to evolve," Azlix whispers. He activates his innate ability: Kitsune of Growth.
Dozens of small, flickering azure flames scatter across the battlefield. Using his incredible agility, Azlix dashes through the rubble, collecting the floating flames one by one. With every flame he absorbs, his aura violently expands. Once he collects the final flame, the multiplier hits.
His speed, his raw physical power, his durability, and his already genius-level intelligence multiply by 30x. He is moving so fast that time seems to stand still. He reaches into the roaring blue fire and pulls out a sleek, jagged Katana dripping with pure fire flames.

The Cursed One lunges, hand outstretched for Azlix's heart.
Azlix, moving at 30x speed, sidesteps the attack effortlessly. He turns to his Kitsune Shinigami floating beautifully beside him. Reaching into his pocket, he pulls out a silver ring—a symbol of their ultimate bond.
"Let's finish this together," Azlix says softly.
He slips the ring onto the Shinigami's finger. The moment the metal touches her, the bond is complete. The Shinigami’s eyes flare with absolute, unchecked power. She opens her jaws and channels all her energy, firing a massive, crazy blue beam of pure, concentrated Kitsune fire.
The beam entirely engulfs the Cursed One, vaporizing him and his terrifying powers instantly, piercing through the clouds and clearing the sky.
Azlix stands victorious, his flaming katana resting on his shoulder, his left eyepatch catching the sunlight. The journey has just begun. There are still 6 Warlords left, including the one who controls the world itself.
