One warm summer night, everything changed. A brilliant shooting star tore across the sky and crashed right in front of him with a soft boom. When the light faded, a small, floating fox-like creature with glowing blue fur and starry eyes appeared. It looked exhausted. “I am Stella… last guardian of the Celestial Realm,” the creature said in a gentle voice. “The Shadow King has begun devouring the light of all worlds. I came to find the one whose heart still shines brightest…” The little fox looked straight at Yuta. “…and that heart is yours.” Before Yuta could even say “Eh?! Me?!”, a warm golden light burst from his chest. A beautiful crystal pendant shaped like a shining star appeared around his neck. Power surged through his body — not scary power, but warm, gentle, and strong. “Star Heart… Activate!” Yuta’s eyes glowed with soft golden light. He could now feel the emotions of people around him and create shining barriers of pure light to protect them. When he focused on his feelings of wanting to help others, he could even fire “Heart Rays” that turned darkness into sparkling stardust. But the Shadow King had already sent his first servant — a giant creature made of living darkness called Doubt — to Hoshikawa to spread fear and sadness. Yuta’s heart pounded. He was scared. Really scared. But then he remembered every anime hero he ever admired… and he remembered his own promise to himself. “I don’t have to be perfect,” Yuta said, clenching his fist as golden light wrapped around his arm. “I just have to try my best… for everyone!” With Stella flying beside him (who could transform into a bigger, battle-ready fox form), Yuta ran toward the town square where Doubt was making everyone cry and lose hope. His classmates and neighbors were trapped in shadows of sadness. Yuta stood in front of them all, pendant glowing brightly. “Everyone… it’s okay to feel scared sometimes,” he shouted, voice shaking but loud. “But we’re not alone! As long as we have each other, we can keep our light shining!” He raised both hands. The Star Heart responded to his pure feelings. A massive golden dome of light exploded outward, protecting the whole town square. Then he fired a powerful “Star Friendship Beam” — a huge beam of warm light made stronger by every happy memory and kind thought he had ever had. The beam hit Doubt straight on. The shadow monster roared… then slowly turned into harmless sparkling particles that floated up into the night sky like fireflies. The town’s light returned. People smiled again. The darkness was gone. Stella landed gently on Yuta’s shoulder, smiling for the first time. “You did it, Yuta. Your heart wasn’t the strongest… but it was the kindest. That’s why the Star Heart chose you.” Yuta looked at the shining pendant, then at the happy faces around him. For the first time, he didn’t just dream of being a hero. He was one. “This is only the beginning,” Stella said. “The Shadow King will send even stronger servants. But as long as you believe in your friends… and in yourself… the light will never go out.” Yuta smiled, eyes sparkling with determination. “Bring it on!
