  2. #2SC 2 INT: Location: Tea shop | Time: 10:00 AM Subject: Hero (A boy working in a tea shop) Action (B1) Scene starts with a focus on a glass of tea. The tea shop owner asks the boy working there to serve a glass of tea to a customer. For a moment, the boy ignores the request, continuing to wash vessels while listening to the FM radio. Only after the owner shouts does he finally take the glass and serve it to the customer. Dialogue (Shouting) Tea shop owner: "Hey, Manohara... Manohara..." (Taps him on the head) "Hey, I need to serve tea to the people standing outside. You take this tea to the person sitting inside—go on." (Manoharan) "Yes, okay, *Anna* [Brother]. Forgive me, *Anna*." (Saying this, he picks up the glass.) (Tea shop owner) (Inner thoughts) "He gets paid a mere hundred rupees, yet he drives me crazy. Will he ever amount to anything in life?" Action (B2) Afterward, he performs all the tasks in the shop. He has a habit of listening to a specific daily FM radio show while working, never missing a single episode. Jump cuts Scene ends.
  3. #3SC 3 Ext : Location: school out door shop : time : afternoon 12:00 Subject : How a boy sees school Action (C1)   The tea shop owner pours tea into five glasses and Manoharan gives it to the shop next to the school   Dialogue.  (out voice) Tea shop owner Hey Mano, give it to the shop next to the school and come back Cut Out Action (C2) Two students jump out of the school compound and just then Manoharan, feeling the pain, passes both of them with the tea glass. The two school students also pass him. Cut Out  (Background song sound national song running) Action (C3) Manoharan gives tea to the shops near the school and then after some time buys it and goes back. Just then, when he passes the school again, he stops for a while and looks up at the compound wall and looks inside. At that moment, he feels like it gives him a new feeling. At that moment, his leg hurts and he falls down from the compound wall. The glass in his hand breaks and shatters.  Jump cuts and Cut Out  This scene complete 
  4. #5SC 4 INT. Tea Shop – Afternoon (12:30 PM) Subject: Tea shop owner scolds Manoharan Action (D1) The tea master is chatting with a customer. Meanwhile, Manoharan stands there holding a bag containing a broken glass tumbler and some shattered shards. Seeing this, the tea master gets angry, summons him inside, and questions him. Cuts Dialogue (Voice-over) Tea Shop Owner (Angrily) "Hey, what happened? How did you break it? Speak up—answer me! Why are you standing there like a blockhead?" Action (D2) Manoharan struggles to give a proper answer but explains how the breakage occurred. The tea shop owner reacts furiously. Cuts Dialogue (Voice-over) Manoharan (Pathetically) "Brother, I’m sorry. I was distracted, watching the commotion at the school compound; my foot slipped, and I fell. You can deduct the cost from my wages if you want—I have no problem with that. I’m sorry, brother." Tea Shop Owner... (Voiceover) (Angrily) Hey, you idiot! Is it because you earn a measly 100-rupee wage that you have to slack off like this? I should have said no when your parents first asked for this job. Hiring you was my mistake. Why do you even work like this? People probably wondered what good you’d ever achieve by going to school. You lunatic—you’re only fit to herd goats and cattle. School is a waste of time for someone like you; just get out. I’m shutting up and leaving now—don't ever come back. Get moving—stop eating and get out. (Customer) "But... why are you scolding him? He’s just a young boy; please forgive him." "Should you get angry at him over his studies?" (Tea shop owner) "Let it be, brother; don't talk about that boy." "Is he still standing there, or has he left?" Action (D3) The tea shop owner turns around and speaks; as he looks for the boy, the boy leaves the spot. Cut Out The same sequence concludes.
