A bright, chipper VOICE echoes in his head.
LILA (V.O.)
(cheerful)
Welcome, Host! I’m Lila, your Chronicler Assistant!
KAISUKE / CYRIL
(jumping back)
Who’s there?! Show yourself!
LILA (V.O.)
Can’t do that— I’m bound to your mind! My mission: help you finish this world’s story. Do it right, you live. Do it wrong… well, let’s skip the grim part!
KAISUKE / CYRIL

The door BURSTS open. RAVEN (26, tall, broad, black hair tied back, scar across jaw) strides in. His gray eyes soften when he sees Cyril.

Your Highness. I heard you were unwell. Are you hurt?
Kaisuke freezes—this isn’t how he wrote Raven. In his draft, Raven was supposed to be cold, ready to betray.

LILA (V.O.)

Raven steps closer, his hand hovering over Cyril’s forehead to check for a fever. Their eyes meet. Kai’s heart races.
RAVEN
You look pale. Let me call the healer.
KAISUKE / CYRIL
(quickly)
No—wait. Stay. Please.
Raven pauses, then nods. He pulls a chair to the bed and sits.
SCENE 3

Cyril and Raven sit on a stone bench, sharing a basket of fruit. The sun sets over the kingdom.

RAVEN
I thought you’d see me as a threat. Like everyone else does.
Cyril reaches out and takes Raven’s hand. Their fingers lace together.
KAISUKE / CYRIL
I don’t see a threat. I see… someone who cares. Someone I care about too.
Raven’s face softens. He leans in, his lips inches from Cyril’s.
LILA (V.O.)
(whispering excitedly)
Almost there! But the main conflict is coming—rebellion in two days. You need to guide it to the right ending!
SCENE 4
EXT. CASTLE WALLS - DAY 99
A REBELLION rages below. Arrows fly. Cyril stands beside Raven, holding a sword (wobbly, but determined).
LILA (V.O.)
(hurried)
Mission timer: 24 hours left! You need to write the final scene to seal it!
A rebel charges at Cyril. Raven shoves him aside, blocking the blow with his own sword. He disarms the rebel, then turns to Cyril—breathless, blood on his armor.
RAVEN
I love you, Cyril. I’ve loved you since the day I first saw you.
Cyril drops his sword and throws his arms around Raven.
KAISUKE / CYRIL
I love you too, Raven. More than anything.
The rebel army begins to retreat—Raven’s men have won.
SCENE 5
