The battlefield burned.
Smoke choked the sky. Screams echoed like ghosts that refused to leave.
A young boy, barely ten, gripped a sword too heavy for his hands.
“Karan… run…” his mother whispered, blood staining her lips.
“I won’t!” he cried, tears blurring his vision. “I’m not leaving you!”
Her trembling hand reached his cheek.
“It’s not selfish… to live.”
Her hand fell.
“...Mom?”
Silence.
Something inside Karan broke—and turned into fire.
With a scream, he charged forward.
“AHHH!”
Steel clashed. Creatures roared.
Then—
THUD!”
