Prompt: She stood at the grand window. Her face was sticking right out of it. She pursed her lips and squinted her eyes. First, turning to the right, then to the left. The wind blew heavily on her face and she swore she was going to catch a cold that night. She continued staring outside, looking for something, perhaps someone. But due to the height, high up. The view below was totally dark, and it was impossible to see what was going on down there. Only the bright street lights and crusaders, flashed before her face. She could only hear the loud yelling occurring at the foot of the building. Cal, was able to pick up a few words. She could comprehend they mentioned something about; going after the other 'Eyes'. "Eyes?... What the hell is an eye?" She murmured faintly. Who even knew if the people parading down there, used eyeballs to play soccer. The thought made her shiver in fright. She thought of many other frightening things as she paced up and down the luxurious room. When she no longer stay still, she grabbed a hat and a coat. Then she hurried out of the pent house. She took an elevator leading her down to the first floor. She ran out of the hotel as fast as she could. When she was finally outside, she didn't hear anymore voices. The night that surrounded her... dark and empty. "Why?!" She yelled in frustration. "Why does she always promise to be back in a second. Then I won't see her for the rest of the week? Why?!" She flung her hat on the floor, starting to scream her mother's name out loud. She ran every corner of the huge hotel but didn't see anyone. And her mother was definitely not in the hotel because she left even before she went in. Suddenly right at the front, she could hear cars drive away. Cal ran right after the Black speeding cars with all her might. Trying to tail it as much as possible, she was shouting "Mother stop!!!". Little did she know, if her mother was really in any of the cars she just followed. These cars drove in a particular, wry direction. While she followed crying and begging for her mother not to leave them again. Cal suddenly tripped and fell. Her knees were already weak and feeble. By the time she raised her head up the cars had disappeared. It was just her. All she knew was that she couldn't make sense where she had run into. Onlher and the sounds of rustling to the night wind. She peeled her hair from her face and began praying to God to keep her mother safe. And that was when she felt something. The sensation grew in her, as though somebody was watching her... following her. Cal turned to look. The wind blew even harder and her eyes lowered. Then she heard a voice. "What was it?... Yes Miss Jordan... You heard wrong." The unknown figure said, breaking the night silence. "Who... Who... Who are you?" Cal murmured. "It is indeed a shame you may not be able to find out sooner or later..." She scanned her direction, only to turn back and see a hooded being... leaning on a... whatever he was leaning on. Maybe a tree. "You heard it wrong Miss Jordan... Apologies" The person chuckled "How are you?" Cal got annoyed, but she could tell this was freaking guy "Oh formalities?, why don't you turn around and apologize properly?" "Ah..." He heaved. He didn't hesitate. He did just that. The guy turned, with both hands in his pocket and walked towards the lady. "What that guy said Cal... It wasn't -go after the other eyes... It was to go after every eye. Not to leave anyone behind" he said in a nonchalant tone. "What are you talking about?... How do you know... my name?!" She yelled. He lifted his hood a little and stared at the girl intently, then an evil smirk crawled on his lips. She was able to ask questions, but he knew deep down she was scared. That... was adorable. "Not to leave any Jordan behind." He said, not answering her question. "You know Cal, I've been watching you. And it does please me, to know you really care about your mother a lot... You're... just as pretty, like Liz." She could no longer hold the contentment. This folly was just talking bullshit!. "Where's my mother?!!" She yelled. But he didn't answer her. "Where's my mother?!!" She asked again totally furious. But the guy did nothing but stare at her. Just watching, his expression unreadable. When he didn't answer her again, Cal became terribly scared. Her breath shifted and she began to muffle. Suddenly a tear dropped, then another, then another. "Please, why won't you answer me? Where is she ?!" her body was trembling badly. He still didn't answer her, only kept staring, watching. Then he took another step forward. Finally he whispered "Don't cry Cal. Don't cry." he took another step forward "Don't... cry". He took another step forward, yet again "Don't... cry". Cal just glared at the figure. She gritted her teeth and growled. She growled and screamed. Screamed and suddenly lunges towards the guy to attack him. Knocking him to the ground, straddling him. Calista was furious at first, pulling him by his hoodie. "Answer me when I'm talking to you!" She barked... bit the guy just chuckled and said in a low, chilling tone. "Of course, but it depends if you'll last strong enough. Be warned... I don't respect myself..." She stopped pulling. She stared at him, her eyes locked in his, waiting for him to speak. "Liz is... " he chuckled again "Liz is sixty feet below the surface..." And that was it. The bombshell had dropped. Her lips parted as she still didn't break the contact the eye contact. But when she did her eyes lowered. She caught something golden that strayed out of his pocket. That pendant... It was her mother's. Cal dragged herself up like a zombie. Then her heart panged. She murmured "It's not a good habit to lie, you know ?" fixing her eyes on his face again. He laughed a little. "Well I can clear your doubt, having you and Lune join her underneath" suddenly, this guy reached for his pocket and pulled out a gun. He kicked the pendant towards Cal and pointed the gun at her "Shall we?" She glared at the guy, with a mixture of fear and confusion in her eyes. She wasn't fully understanding why her head throbbed and her heart... panicking. Lune? why her of all people?. That poor little brat, who still managed to breathe sometimes. Why her? "No!... You lie!... You lie!!". Her hands rummaged her head, like wanted to run mad. And not wasting a second, she took off her coat and sped off. She was running as fast as her legs could carry her. She kept on running and running trying not to look back. She began to tear up, wiping her tears as she ran. When she fell, she'd pick her self up and continue. She was bumping into more trees . Turning in different corners. Telling her self it was dark and impossible to even see where she was going. But she would look for a way out... she would protect Lune! But he didn't waver just yet. He followed her smoothly, running after her. Like he knew where she was headed taking that direction. The chase didn't last long till he found her. And when he was just close enough, he triggered the pistol. His target was just so formidable, like a lion about to pounce on it's prey. "Come join her, Cal. Come join Liz" he whispered, "Either the 'Eye' finds you, or you find the 'Eye'... That's the hint of who I am... Good luck finding us." he concluded. And with that, the shot was taken. And time seemed to stop. She felt it again. The emptiness in the cold night air. The emptiness she could not get to fill. And she was going to die just like that?. Her Dad?... gone. Her Mother was claimed. She couldn't just leave Lune alone in this cruel world. Cal had promised Lune, that she would never leave her. They will be together no matter what. For the love of God the little girl was sick! It pierced. The bullet went through her. He shot another, then another. She tried her best to keep on moving... but her body failed her. Cal fell to the ground. Into a cold pool of her own blood. Her body became null, she couldn't move. The tears she had been trying to hold back through her attempt to escape, flowed freely in dismay. The guy came and squated before her. He took her cold, bruised hands and placed her mother's gold pendant in it. He closed her hand and leaned in closer, whispering "So which one is it Cal?". Her voice started to disappear and she could only muffle a few words in tears "Lune... Lune... Lune" . She kept on crying mumbling 'Lune'. He just stood up and turned to leave. He looked at her one more time, frowned and walked away. Leaving her lifeless body on the ground... ***
