Prompt: “A large kingdom that exists within a large crack in the earth, and this kingdom is isolated from the rest of the world, not seeing anything beyond the little light from the sky way above which can be seen, but doesn't hardly illuminate anything so the kingdom relies on coal found within to produce light, and night time makes any part of the kingdom not lit up by fire pitch black. The people within the kingdon are more primitive but are close to what the middle ages were like, with almost everything in the kingdom being constructed from rock and ore, with only the rare branches and sticks that occasionally fall into the crack. The story itself takes place starting from 2060 when a fourth of the earth mysterously cracks open, and only a small handfull of people survive falling into it, and those people would create the kingdom the story takes place in, but their knowledge including things like what year it is would be lost in a civil war in 2082 before the war would end with the surviors making a comprise to make the kingdom spilt into two regions, and the story would take place when peace was mostly restored in 2085. Notably, no one can enter the crack or even go near it as there have been monsters and strange creatures roaming above, with the monsters slowing spreading out accross the earth, slowly killing the modern societies while the kingdom below remains unware of all of it. The protaganist Jauhn is an 18 year old peasant, He is selfish and greedy yet doesn't completely disreguard other. He grew up poor and worked since he was 10. He was always extroverted and would often start trouble with others, and would constantly get into trouble which was usely over something related to money or manipulation. His behavior also was partly due to his negligent parents. He lives in the Cahliyh Region, the smaller and less influential of the two reasons. His surname "Khucahliyh" (pronounced Ku-cah-lie) being a common surname given to all peasants. (His given name "Jauhn" is pronounced like "John")”
